We waited a long time for a table, but it was worth it. They have a nice area on the outside of the building to wait. Cozy atmosphere. I ordered the dill burger. It was good, but not as good as the fries. They were fried to perfection. We ordered pie to go. The best was the North Shore Berry Crumb. Perfect combination of flavors. Prices are spendy, but comparative for the area. They do charge a fee to pay with a credit card, which my husband said he saw on the menu. It's worth checking out.

The Rustic Inn is a great stop in Castle Danger in your way up the North Shore. Just a short drive from Gooseberry Falls. Great homemade food! Wide variety! And PIE! Homemade and fresh! Chocolate peanut butter pie

The place has a nice atmosphere and a charming gift shop. Be prepared to wait a bit; they take your name and call you when a table is ready, which I think is due to a shortage of staff. The staff themselves were super friendly. We ordered two salads, which were great, but they were out of ribs. We also tried the mussels with spaghetti, but I found the marinara sauce a bit overwhelming. Overall, I recommend this place. We also had the cream raspberry pie, which was amazing, although the regular pie was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Rustic Inn is a great place to stop if you’re visiting the North Shore. We had a late dinner for five people- 2 adults, a teenager and 2 kids. The food tasted great and it tasted like homemade comfort food. If you visit Rustic Inn, you have to order the phenomenal pies. Rustic Inn pies are much better than the pie place up the road that everyone stops by.

Rustic Inn Cafe offers a mixed experience. The mussel pasta was decent, though the sauce was just okay. The salad with egg was tasty but had an oversized portion. The raspberry cream pie was excellent, but the North Shore Berry Crumble Pie was far too sweet. The restroom was dirty and out of paper towels, which was disappointing for such a busy restaurant. I recommend reserving a table in advance due to the long wait times (30 minutes for four people). The cozy gift shop is a nice touch.

Excellent, popular, busy restaurant with outdoor patio, picnic tables and pie truck. Good stop between Two Harbors, Gooseberry Park and Beaver Bay. Castle Danger beers on tap. Tasty food and pie selections.

Wow! Super hard to get a table here but their food sure is good! I keep hearing that Rustic Inn's pies are best in town and now I would say they are. Delicious sandwiches, chips, pies and carrot cake!! Service was not great but it's somewhat understandable being that busy. Kinda wish we had drinks with the meal though.

Amazing! The burger had so much flavor and the pie was glorious. Cute shop. A bit spendy but IMO worth every penny.
